Jean-Christophe Bureau is Professor of Economics at AgroParisTech (Université Paris-Saclay) and Associate Researcher at the CEPII. He is a specialist in the Common Agricultural Policy working on international trade issues related to agriculture and environment.

Previousely, he has worked at the Economics Department of the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) for 9 years as a Head of a research laboratory, at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), at the Economic Research Service of the US Department of Agriculture, at Trinity College in Dublin and at Iowa State University. He was a member of the French Prime Minister's Conseil d'analyse économique from 2002 to 2004.
