Presentation of the OECD report "Preventing Ageing Unequally”
The health status and income levels of older people have improved over the last decades in OECD and emerging countries. At the same time, there are growing risks of inequality among future retirees.
A new OECD report, “Preventing Ageing Unequally”, analyses trends in life expectancy and rising inequalities and explores how the experience of old age is going to change dramatically for today’s younger generations. It also identifies policies to prevent, mitigate and cope with the impact of these trends. Country notes are also available for Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. Monika Queisser, Head of Social Policy at the OECD, and Hervé Boulhol, in charge of this report, will present the report, which will be then discussed by Pierre-Louis Bras, president of the Pensions Advisory Council. By invitation only. The event will take place under the Chatham House Rule. The presentations and discussion will be held in French and in English.
